About

As a young girl, writing was my dream. Verbal communication never came easy, so writing became the way I expressed myself, my thoughts, my hopes, fears, and everything in between. It's been my go-to on dealing with the unknown. When I want to get away from the world, I do three things; play the piano, write, and pray.
Here on Adjusting Focus, you'll read about mental health issues, race, and other realities of life in an effort to create a supportive community for all who visit this blog.
When starting this at the age of 16, I had no idea what I wanted to do with it. After stumbling on this quote, "When life gets blurry, adjust your focus," my blog took flight. It's been a dream come true to see so many read these posts and find support.
In a world where we often see perfection, I hope you find there are others around you who struggle, who understand, and I wish you ultimately find your own hope here.
