A Writing on Writing

Well I feel like it's been a while since I've written anything (yet again) so I was trying to think of something meaningful to write about. Or, at least, decently meaningful. It was either that or perhaps something funny as I found I've had the recent urge to write something funny (I started a new book to try and solve that), but I've discovered that I'm really not that funny. I attempt to be but when it all comes down to it, I really just say some things that people occasionally laugh at and I can't be funny on command. It's just not a natural thing. I can write a sad story or a dramatic one. When I tried to write that funny book based on... well I'm not going to tell you... but when I tried to write it all I thought was, "This is the worst attempt at humor I have ever read." So, naturally, I went back to writing another book I've been working on. That all being said, today I decided to write to you all about writing. It's decently m...

A Message: Tender Mercies

Sunday. I always enjoy these days. Today I was reminded of the tender mercies of the Lord. There are a couple of stories that always stick out to me whenever I think of tender mercies. They happened a few years ago, but to this day they still mean the world to me. Flashback to Freshman year when I was just really struggling. One friend came back and said bye to me and gave me a hug. It seems so small but after that I really wanted to cry but like, happy tears. It made me just feel so much better for the rest of the day. The same thing happened again that year. Actually, this instance happened first but it involves the same pe...

One for the Books

So 2014 was quite the year. I guess I'll do a quick recap of the past 12 months in case anyone is even remotely interested in my adventurous life. I'll add pictures to make everything better. JANUARY: At the end of the month once the semester was over I jumped out of one school and hopped into an old/new one. I made new friends and reconnected with old ones, so that was really nice. David left on his mission which was sad but also amazing all at the same time. FEBRUARY: I finally turned 16 which meant I could finally date. I also got my permit after failing the test the first time... MARCH: Um, I'm sure something happened. APRIL: April was the month of prom.  My first one and I was pretty excited. :) MAY: ??? JUNE: I stepped foot onto GD floors for the last time. I wouldn't be returning for the next year as I would be a part of the MWCC Pathways graduating class of 2016. JULY: Youth conference happened and that was truly a great experience. Everyone worked...
