My two weeks were super fun. I hung out with my cousin almost everyday and I finally have a room. My walls are all painted! One wall is red and the others are beige (although it turned out a little more grey... I call it greige). I got to spend some time with my parents, which was great. My favorite dog ever, Bella, got to sleep near me on her bed every night too. She's literally my favorite dog out of all the other ones I have ever owned (sorry).
I'm sad it's all over but at least I'm back at my real home with real floors and ceilings. The NH house does look great and my parents worked incredibly hard everyday to get it to where it is currently. I'm grateful for them and their hard work. It has come so far.So, as you've seen, I've taken a lot of pictures with my cousin within the last two weeks. It seemed like almost everywhere we went we were asking our moms to take pictures of us. One of our last pictures together for a while came from our adventure with my cousin, me, and my aunt to Castle in the Clouds. It's this wicked nice house that's also wicked old. It's up high in the mountains and the views from every side of the house are gorgeous. It was the coolest house I've seen. I have some pictures of the views too. They're amazing (the views, not my pictures).
But, here's my last picture of "Eileen and Maggie Summer 2014"...
It's so hard for us not to laugh when we take pictures. |
Here's a couple from the mansion thing.
This was a small window right in the entry to the stairs... It was better/cooler in person. |
This could be considered their 'backyard'. |
Mikey and Meg will be coming home this week. I'm super excited. I love my brother and sister (in-law). I love the other two, too, don't worry. I wish I could see all four of them again like I did when I was in Utah...
But two is better than none.
It's also their one year anniversary!!
Today's quote is: "The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything."
I'll really have to remember this when I wake up at 6:30 this week. But, in all seriousness, it's good to make the best of things. Even though I will be waking up early for three days, it is only three days. And it also means the start of something new (I'll be singing the High School Musical opening song now). I get to meet my new cohort of 20 and make new friends (all over again) and start... college? It's all very exciting. I'm glad I have this opportunity to get a head start on furthering my education.
Some very exciting/fun things are coming our way within the rest of this month and the beginning of September!!!
